Crossmahon 4-1 Sullane Crossmahon turned out deserved winners last Sunday when a spirited Sullane team visited the maize field. From the start Crossmahon took it to the visitors and should of been 1-0 after 10 minutes only for Tadgh Twomey's effort to sail narrowly over the crossbar. With mounting pressure from the Mahon midfield they pressed on and won a corner after a great save by the Sullane stopper. From the resulting corner mahon took the lead when the delivery was headed in by Donal Collins and Brian O Mahony reacted first with a sublime Bicycle kick that shook the back of the net. Mahon kept pressing and eventually made it 2 when Anthony O Sullivan laid it on a plate for Daniel O Mahony to finish well. Mahon were dominating proceedings at this stage and should of made more of the shots on target. O Mahony guilty of missing 2 sitters and and wasteful shooting from midfield. Sullane's only effort of the half was when o Shea went close with a header near the end of the half. Sullane came out fighting at the interval and stole a goal 10 minutes in when there midfielder clung a left foot screamer to the top corner. However mahon upped the anti and when Joe Kelly came on to score the game was well wrapped up. Aidan O Sullivan wrapped things up then for mahon and it would of been more only for poor offside decisions by the referee. Mahon now move into 3rd position.
